Scrunchies are a surprisingly divisive accessory. You probably either love them or hate them. If you’re still with me, I know you love them… or at least want to try to! This pattern makes a seamless knit scrunchie by using a provisional cast on & Kitchener stitch finish to easily knit around a store-bought hair elastic. It’s a quick project for leftover yarn and a fun gift idea. Start your knit scrunchie collection today!

Pattern includes multiple size options for both sport & sock/fingering weight yarns, plus a photo tutorial for getting started on your scrunchie (as a separate PDF file).

Yarn: Sportweight or sock weight yarn (non-felting). A small amount of waste yarn in contrasting color (for cast on). Shown in: Fly Designs Monarch in color “Gumby”, Regia 4-Fadig Color in color “4390”. 25-50 yds/ 22-45 m for sportweight sizes. 35-70yds/ 32-64m for sock weight sizes.
