The Spike Striped Beanie is made with DK (lightweight 3) or worsted (4) weight self-striping yarn and a size I or J crochet hook. The beautiful texture is created with spike stitch. Premier DK Colors was used for the DK version pictured. Instructions are also given for making the faux fur pompom.

DK version:
DK weight (size 3) yarn - 1 skein self-striping yarn such as Premier DK Colors in Strata or Foggy
Size I – 5.5mm Crochet Hook
Worsted version:
Worsted weight (size 4) yarn - 1 skein self-striping yarn such as Caron Cakes
Size J - 6mm Crochet Hook
