Yarn
1 Giant yarn cake, a bulky weight in a textured cotton/linen blend. 200 yards/150 grams. The color as shown is called Greenery. The yarn was held double throughout the project and one cake is enough for all sizes.

Alternatively use a super bulky yarn 80 to 90 yards.

Notions needed
US size 7 (4.5 mm) circular needle 16” (41 cm) in length.
1 Stitch marker, lockable if using to secure pom to hat.
Darning needle or crochet hook for finishing.
1 Pom Pom (Faux fur used here)

Gauge
12 sts and 20 rows in 4” of Stockinette stitch in super bulky weight yarn. It is imperative to get the right gauge to ensure a proper fit!

Techniques used
Knitted and purled in the round, increasing, decreasing, binding off, weaving in ends and adding an optional pom pom.
