Starting at the buttonhole edge, you’ll increase on one side only till you have all the sts necessary (lace knitting along the way), continue in lace for a rectangular piece, than decreasing back down to the original stitch-count.

This is a great lace project that takes full advantage of the cashmere/bamboo blend -- warmth of cashmere with the cooling properties of bamboo.

The shawl is tied and then buttoned (1-inch button required) to stay closed and on your shoulders.

A wonderful all-weather garment that can look good at a Garden Party or the office or even just sitting and knitting.

Sample was made with Spring Gate Farm’s medium weight cashmere (80%)/bamboo (20%) blend.
