Springsnow in Amsterdam happens between 21th April and 21th of May. It happens when the seeds of the Elm tree, of which there are thousands in Amsterdam, are falling. This specific piece was knitted with a mini skein of lace dyed with the branches of a monumental Elm tree in the Deurloostraat. After knitting I did put it back on one of the branches that was used to dye the yarn with.
The mini skeins are dyed in a limited and numbered edition of 35 skeins.

The pattern is only written in Dutch (sorry) and I am very thankful for the work of Barbara Walker and Mary Thomas who wrote about the stitch I used for this piece.
