The Squishy Squashes are my very first knitting pattern, and I’m so glad to have made them in time for Halloween and Autumn.

They’re incredibly beginner friendly and fast to make - if you can knit and purl then you can make these pumpkins. With 3 strands of DK yarn held at once, they make an excellent scrap buster with whatever you have laying around your yarn pile!

Gauge is not actually important for this project! Feel free to mix different yarns and weights to stash-bust, but just make sure your stitches aren’t too loose as the stuffing inside will show.

Once they’re all knitted, sewn and stuffed you simply pop a cinnamon stick in the top hole and voila, you’re finished!

This free pattern contains detailed step-by-step instructions on how to sew, stuff and shape the pumpkins.

I can’t wait to see what colours you all pick, happy knitting!
