For a burst of warmth in the coldest of winters, envelop your hands in luscious alpaca with the Starburst Mittens! These mittens feature a thumb gusset on the palm, and a whimsical nod to a traditional motif that is explored in a not-so-traditional manner. While the main motif has been placed to the outside edge of the hands, if you prefer it to be placed at the inside edge, simply work the thumb gusset as per the chart from the other hand.

Finished Measurements:
Circumference at palm (just above thumb): 20 cm 7.75”
Total Length: 29 cm 11.25”

Yarn: Prairie Spirit Alpacas Sport Weight Neutral Collection, (100g/3.5oz, 217m/237 yds, 100% Pure Alpaca), 1 skein each of two colours. Yarn is available in dyed options as well. Shown in White “Merit” (MC), and Grey “Ashlyn” (CC).

Needles: 2.75mm US size 2 double-pointed needles.

Notions: Three stitch markers (1 to mark beginning of round, 2 in another colour to mark thumb gusset), waste yarn for setting aside thumb, tapestry needle for weaving-in ends.
