“Bought a beat up six string in a secondhand store; Didn’t know how to play it, but he knew for sure; That one guitar felt good in his hands; Didn’t take long to understand; Just one guitar, slung way down low; Was one way ticket, only one way to go; So he started rocking; Ain’t never going to stop; Gotta keep on rocking; Someday he’s going to make it to the top; And be a juke box hero, got stars in his eyes…”
- Juke Box Hero by Foreigner

This one is for the dreamers out there who know what they love and follow their passions. It’s for those who buy single skeins purely for the yarn’s beauty without a thought to how (or if) they’ll ever be used. It’s for those who push through and persevere even when the going gets tough and others tell you to turn back. This one is for everyone out there with stars in their eyes and a dream in their heart. Whatever your path and whatever your struggle, this one is for you. Wear it with pride and let it remind you to always keep on rocking and pushing for your dreams, because you are amazing and capable of anything!

Stars in Their Eyes begins at the center of the star and progresses outward while being worked in the round on DPNs. Some of the stitches are then bound off and the rest of the pattern is worked flat as you create the trail behind the shooting star. This pattern is perfect for a treasured single skein or you can fade a few skeins together to create a larger shawl. Because of the way the shawl is constructed, you can easily make it as big or as small as you like. Instructions are provided for making these adjustments easily as you go.
