Knit a stashbuster poncho from the top down in the round creating your own bulky weight yarn from what you have on hand. Stash dive for colors that go together in yarn weights from sport to heavy worsted and double strand them. Choose different colors, shiny, sparkly, novelty and smooth textures. Knit the chevron front version or plain version. 20” neck (unstretched) x 23” long x 50” around. Begin with ribbing on size 11 needles, change to 13 for yoke and then to 15 for drape. Make it elbow, wrist length or longer. Split one side and work several rows of garter before binding off with a little ruffle yarn added to the bind off. You can substitute 450 yards of bulky or super bulky weight yarn that recommends using size 11 or 13 needles. It’s fun, flirty, and fast to knit!
