I’ve been really inspired by all of the heavily cabled knits that are out there. Also, I wanted to design a hat that would use up every bit of this gorgeous yarn. The three different cables are bold enough to stand up to the color changes and variegation of the yarn. With this much detail you’ll never be bored while knitting this.

Details: The hat transitions smoothly from a simple ribbing to a cable panel featuring three different cables broken up by a neat line of ribbing. As designed, this hat should be worn as a close fitting beanie to keep your head and ears warm. It has plenty of stretch. Being knit from the brim up makes it easily customizable for some slouch. This hat is sized from child to adult.

Size: Finished measurements are 12 (14.5, 18) circumference and 7 (8, 9)” tall.

Yarn: 1 (1, 2) skeins Spincycle Yarns Dyed in the Wool in Robin S Egg. Note the medium size uses every yard. If you are a knitter who tends to use more yarn buy a second skein to be safe.

Needle: 1 set US #4 / 3.5mm DPNs or 16” long circular
