Pattern update

In November 2021 I updated this pattern to include a variation of the design that I’m now knitting. I called this variation my ‘Ingalls Blanket’ as it brings to mind all things Laura Ingalls Wilder.
If you previously purchased this pattern, you will receive the updated pattern and will have had a message via Ravelry to let you know.
I hope that all new blanket knitters will enjoy it !

The inspiration for this blanket came from my love of knitting tiny mitred squares. These types of projects are so wonderful, but can be cumbersome and difficult to transport as they grow larger.

I began to ponder on the thought of knitting a blanket in smaller, bite sized pieces. Something that you could theme as you wish and would easily fit into a small project bag.

The Stitch In Time blanket is made up of twelve blocks that I knitted to reflect the twelve months of the year. Each block has colours that remind me of that particular month. I then gave them all a border and seamed the blocks together.

The blanket is easy to customise to your own size requirements, and is perfect for beginners and more experienced knitters alike.

The squares are knitted from scraps of fingering weight yarn with each square taking no more than 5g. Its a perfect use for all your leftovers and makes a fabulous memory piece.

The pattern includes full written instructions, including a schematic and lots of instructional photos. There is also a number of video tutorials to demonstrate the specific techniques I use.

This is a design packed full of joy and love and every stitch was a delight.
