Delicate and graceful, the Stitches in Time Cowl is a mesmerising modern take on lace inspired by cable knitting.

It is knit in the round with a British moss stitch (seed stitch) border around the bottom (cast on) and top (cast off) edges.

The finished size after blocking is 12” (30.5cm) tall by width circumference 38” (96.5cm). The cowl can be made narrower or wider by completing less or more repeats of the lace chart.

The photographed sample was knit with 2.5mm (1.5US) circular needles (or 24” (60cm) circular) and 1 ball of The Yarn Collective Portland Lace (100% wool; 941 yards 860 meters/100 grams) in Sheepish (201); however, any other lace weight yarn suits this design.

The pattern includes a chart for the lace work.

Enjoy and happy knitting!
