Suggested yarns: lace to fingering in solid or semi-solid colours.
Tools: 2 3.5 mm (US 4) circular needles 80 cm/32”, 4 or more markers (optional).

Gauge:
16 sts & 28 rows = 4x4 inches (10x10cm) in Chart E (page 8) lace after blocking. The gauge is not crucial.

Sample shawl:
yarn: Colour Adventures Lace 115g (4 oz)/885 m(968 yards).
yardage: 876.3 meters (958.3 yards)
needles: 3.5 mm (US 4) circular needle 80 cm/32”
finished dimensions: width – 46cm (18.1 in), length – 180cm (70.9 in)

Obtaining the given gauge is not crucial but differences will affect the finished size and the yardage needed.

Stolen Lace is worked seamlessly, starting with a provisional cast on at the third row of one edge. The edging is worked from the provisional cast on to the edge, then the body of the stole is worked sideways from the provisional cast on to the other edge.

Instructions in the pattern are for two repeats of the framed section. To make the stole wider/narrower add/substract a repeat of the section. More information in the pattern.

The pattern has been tech-edited and tested by English speaking knitters.
