Stoneybrook Sweater
This is a fun sweater with small details that make a big difference.
This raglan sweater has Double Seed Stitch on the sleeves and bottom of the body. The reason I named it “The Stoneybrook Sweater” is because I thought that the Double Seed Stitch looked like a brook or creek with many stones and pebbles in it.
I enjoy texture and like the way a raglan sits on me.
The sweater is designed with 2-4 inches of positive ease, but feel free to pick a size that will provide you with your desired amount of ease. I recommend sizing up a size if you are unsure.
There are two neckline/collar options, a double folded collar, and a crewneck collar. You can choose between the two.
Sizes:
XS (S) (M) (L) (XL)
To Fit a bust of:
30 (34) (38) (42) (46)“ measured around your full bust.
Finished Measurements:
34 (38) (42) (46) (50)“ with 4 inches of positive ease.
Yarn:
I used Garnstudio DROPS Daisy in the color Dark Blue Green (color 18). You will need 7 (8) (9) (9) (10) balls or 830 (900) (1000) (1070) (1100) yards of any other light worsted/worsted weight yarn that meets gauge.
Yardage is a rough estimate, so if you are unsure, go for the extra skein just in case!
Needles:
Size 6 US circular knitting needles 16” and 32” cords, or size to obtain gauge.
Gauge:
17 sts and 24 rows in stockinette stitch over 4 inches in the round (unblocked) with size 6 US knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
The sweater is pretty easy overall, and if you would like, you can choose to remove the texture on the sleeves and body.
Make it YOURS!
