Knit these strawberries to make a sweet bag charm or keyring charm, or use as toy food for playtime. My strawberry is decorated with little buttons, but you could use beads or embroidery to decorate it if you prefer.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the strawberry fruit and leaves are knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round). The stalk is an i-cord tube worked on two DPNs.

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.75mm single pointed knitting needles (US 5), and two 3.5mm DPNs (US 4).

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; a few grammes in each colour.

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, a handful of toy filling, buttons to decorate, and a split ring/keyring.

SIZES
One size only - Not including the stalk the strawberry fruit is 6cm tall.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
