This shawl combines a striped body with a beautiful lace border. It is knitted sideways from tip to tip and the
lace is worked at the same time as the body.
The lace can be worked in main color or in contrast color. The pattern works well for yarns with long color runs and with the border in contrast color for variegated yarn.
The size is adjustable.
The pattern is charts only, no written instructions are provided.
The first two sample shawls are worked in heavy lace, final size 200cm wide, 66cm deep with moderate blocking.

Suggested yarns:
heavy lace:
Version 1 (lace border in MC, only stripes in CC): 100gr MC and 50gr CC
Version 2 (background in MC, stripes and lace border in CC): equal amounts of both yarns (about 75gr)
fingering:
Version 1 (lace border in MC, only stripes in CC): 150gr MC and 100gr CC
Version 2 (background in MC, stripes and lace border in CC): 100gr MC and 100gr CC

The lace has patterning on both sides, all rows (RS and WS) are charted.
