Everyone needs a special basket to hold all of their bath-time goodies and this one is made especially for that purpose. It is knitted using short row shaping and once completed fits nicely over a 72 ounce round plastic container to give it uniform shape and stability. The “lip” at the top of the basket folds back and is secured by a self-adhesive “hook” strip side of Velcro that is positioned just below the inside rim of the container. No “loop” side is needed, since the knit naturally sticks to the Velcro hooks. Leave it plain or embellish it with some pretty beads for a more festive look.

All steps are fully written out, but there is also a chart for reference.

Loom: ½ inch gauge loom with at least 34 pegs flat knit; sample made on the CinDWood 36 peg round loom.

Notions: yarn needle, crochet hook to secure yarn tails, four stitch markers (three stationary and one movable), scissors and loom hook. You will also need one 3 inch by 1 inch roll of Industrial Strength Low Profile Velcro (the kind that sticks to plastic); a 72 oz. round plastic storage container that is approximately four by eight inches; sample used a Dollar Tree container.

(Optional) jute cord, beads, ribbon or any other items you wish to use for embellishment.
