Surf is a generously-sized shawl designed to reflect the rising and crashing of waves on the Pacific Northwest shores of Washington & Oregon.

You’ll enjoy knitting this stunning shawl that begins with a soothing deep blue garter stitch, transitions into striking blue and gray garter stripes, and culminates in a deceptively-easy foamy gray lace with a splashy picot bind off.

Instructions are both written and charted. Handy tally charts to keep track of row repeats for both the garter and lace sections are included along with tips for shaping and blocking.

Finished Measurements:
approx. 90” wide across top edge & 25” from top center to bottom point, not including picot.

Yarn:
Knit Picks Paragon (50% Fine Merino Wool, 25% Baby Alpaca, 25% Mulberry Silk; 123 yards/50g): C1 Navy (3 balls) & C2 Silver (4 balls).

Quince & Co. Willet (100% Cleaner Cotton; 160 yards/50 g): C1 Starboard (2 hanks) & C2 Squall (3 hanks).

Or other luxury sport weight yarn/colorways of choice.
