The project is meant for double knitting (knitting 2 sides of the … at the same time), but can be easily done in stranding or intarsia.

Yarn - of your choice. Light/medium weight cotton is recommended.
You will need 2 contrasting colors, about 15 yards/m each (more if you use bigger needles). A white/black and a contrasting variegated will be beautiful.

Size/gauge: I ain’t telling… it’s a surprise.

Needles: #7 US / 4.5 mm.
But, be adventurous. Use what you have, and find a use for it later, or contact me for some ideas.
Crochet hook H was very helpful for bo, but it’s not a must.
