A great tutorial for someone newer to knitting socks and/or new to knitting socks on two circular needles. This pattern walks you through how to knit socks using fingering weight yarn using a 5x1 rib on two circular needles.

A friend once saw my socks and said these are way too pretty to put on your feet….they are like a sweater…..sweaters for your feet. This is a great pattern for variegated yarn or yarn with pizazz… you want the yarn to do the work and the pattern to be something easy to do and that doesn’t take away from the yarn. This is a great car and knitting-in-public project once you have the hang of it.

Skills you will use:

  • Knitting in the round using 2 circular knitting needles (24” or desired length circular needles)
  • Staggered diamond eye of partridge heel
  • Fitted arch that makes the sock just hug your foot
  • Round toe
  • Kitchener
  • SSK, K2TOG and picking up stitches
