This is a quick project, perfect for craft fairs and gifts.
The samples are made in DMC Lil Toppers yarn that has cute pompoms included. There is enough yarn in the ball to make Toddler or Kid size.
You will need more yarn (approximately 150yrd) if you go for a Teen size with full brim.
It can be made in any medium #4 weight yarn with wpi 10 or close.
The hat is made from the top down, the gauge in the pattern is given as the crown diameter needed for the selected size.
