Swell is a fun, quick, quirky shawl that uses some simple texture stitches, a fun little texture/eyelet combo stitch, and a smidge of short rows at the end to make a lovely, drapey, perfect-for-the-shoulders combo for those days when you just need a little something to keep you warm!

Size: 70 inches / 178 cm along the top edge X 19 inches/ 48 cm at the widest part of the shawl. Shawl size may vary, depending on individual knitter’s gauge, yarns used, and blocking preferences.

Recommended yarn: Four colors of DK/Light Worsted weight yarn. Solids/semi-solids/tonals/speckles work best!

Sample Used: The Fibre Company LUMA (50% merino wool/ 25% cotton/ 15% linen/ 10% silk; 137 yd/ 125m ea) in the colors Grigio (A - Grey), Kiwi (B - Green), Aizome (C – Blue-Grey), and Breton (D - Blue)

  • B: 135 yd/ 125m
  • C: 135 yd/ 125m
