If you love knitting mock cables, you’ll love knitting this scarf. The cable stitch comes to us from Japan. It’s not a difficult and would make a great gift for yourself or someone special to you. It’s a fun and fast knit The finished scarf is slightly scalloped both on the side and the bottom.

The scarf will keep you warm, even though it’s knit with sport weight yarn, as a result of the turtleneck.

The stitch is both charted out and written out line by line.

Skill Level: Beginner + - Intermediate (assuming some mock cabling experience).

There are also instructions for an optional crocheted border, should you want it edged.

The sample was expertly pattern tested by Aaron Atwood, who can be reached at: eochdubh.pooka !at gmail.com

The yarn used in the sample is Shepherd Sport by Lorna’s Laces, in colorway, Ogden.
