The Tall Ships jumper can be knitted in any good quality double knitting yarn. I used Debbie Bliss Rialto DK for its softness and lovely range of colours. The body of the jumper is knitted in rounds to the armholes where it is joined to the sleeves which have been knitted in rows. The yoke is then knitted in rounds. A row of colour work, sailing ships encircle the yoke and Latvian braids add to the nautical feel. Full instructions are given for the braid and I also have a teaching video on my Instagram account. Instructions are given for approximate ages 1-9 years and include a chart. You will need between 400-800 metres of yarn.
