What bigger adventure for a knitter than to get a lovely skein of variegated yarn to work with a lace pattern! This pattern is part of the Happiness Make Along 2019 with the theme Adventure and Renewal. Do join us over at the HMAL group for all the making, fun and prizes!

Knitter meets yarn, falls in love with the colors and starts to make something, only to realize that the Yarn is rubbing its hands in glee and saying ‘I won’t work with any pattern’. Sound familiar? This is an old story, isn’t it? This is the exact story of this shawl. But I rolled up my sleeves and said ‘Stay still, Yarn, I am going to tame you!’ So with the yarn twisting and turning and struggling under my grasp, I whipped out this shawl, complete with lace and all. Can you see the twists and turns?

Taming the Hues is an asymmetric triangle shawl, worked sideways with increases and decreases and a lace pattern that flatters even semisolid and variegated yarns.
