Although the Tapestry Stole is worked back and forth, circular needles are necessary, because the sts are slid from one point of the needle to the other.

The sample in the first picture has been knit with Light fingering 65% Wool – 35% Alpaca (230 yd – 210 m on 1.76 oz – 50 g):

Off-White (MC): 543 yd / 497 m,
Red (C2): 399.2 yd / 365 m,
Yellow (C3): 197 yd / 180 m,
Blue (C4): 197 yd / 180 m,
Green (C5): 46 yd / 42 m.

Beads: #404 size 6/0 Toho seed beads, color 161 (transparent).

Circular needles size 3.0 mm – US 2½.

Finished measurement of the sample in the first picture: 68.9” x 21.65” - 175 cm x 55 cm.

Gauge: 27.5 sts x 35 rows on 4” / 10 cm in stockinette st., blocked.

Errata: in the legend for (k1,p1,k1) in 1 stitch and (p1, k1,p1) in 1 stitch, where the directions say “red bar” it means the bar in C2 color.
For (p1, k1, p1) the bar is in front of the st, not in back.
