Add some color and pattern to your home decor with this easy blanket . The main body of the blanket is knitted in one piece. The vertical stripes are added after the main body is complete. A border of bobbles (pictured) or plain garter stitch is added to give it a finished look. The pattern includes both written instructions and illustrations. Skills needed are the following: knit stitch, purl stitch, single-crochet stitch, and crochet slip-stitch. The sample is in bold colors, but heathered yarns or less contrasting colors would produce a more subtle design.
