Spring is finally here, and with it my longing to be in the garden grows even faster than the green shoots emerging from the sleeping soil.

The Tending Roses socks were inspired by the shape of our garden arbor, covered in climbing roses.

They are a mid calf sock, with a simple lace panel, a short row heel, and a gentle roll of stockinette at the top of the cuff.

Materials:
Yarn-Fingering (ply) weight yarn
260-485 yds/238-443 m
Needles-US 1 & 2 (2.25 & 2.75 mm) DPNs
or 24”/60 cm long circulars for magic loop method.
Notions-Tapestry needle, tape measure, stitch markers, cable needle

Gauge in Stockinette: 16.5 STS/2”-16.5 STS/5 cm on smaller sized needles (blocked)
16 STS/2”-16 STS/5 cm on larger needles (blocked)
