The Texas Two Step is part of my Armchair Travels 2018 collection!

I’ve used Vberry Yarns for my designs more than any other fiber artist. V’s colors are just gorgeous and I am particularly fond of her lighter colors. Sometimes knitters ask, “Which came first the design or the yarn?” In the Texas Two Step it was a combination. I had originally planned to knit the entire piece with the leaf design (and you can certainly still do that). When I saw how lovely the stockinette folded hem looked I changed my mind and put in stockinette stripes separated by a purl row.

When I purchased yarn from AJHC Wools I was inspired to knit just the stockinette stripes (the Texas One Step if you will!) using 2 different colors. I love her alpaca yarn and her colors are fabulous.

My friend Barb knit one using 2 colors of Acadia. There are so many options with the cowl.

The pin from Spinning Moon Farm is the perfect complement to V’s yarn. This piece is suitable for advanced beginners and interesting for those with more experience. Written and charted instructions are included.
