This large shawl begins in the center with a brioche or moss stitch option. Short row squiggles expand the shape outward with Latvian braids. Wavy wings create a long length that drapes beautifully over the shoulders. An optional bubble border completes this statement piece. The pattern is written for five colors with a recommended fluffy suri yarn as one of the colors combined with fingering weight wool.

Yarn
Fingering weight

Recommended Yarn
Green Gold Lavender Sample
West Wool Tricycle (2 skeins each color) in Green Olive, Corduroy, Enchanted, Unicorn + 2 balls West Wool Glowhair in Dijon

Blue Peach Sample
Qing Fibre High Twist BFL for MC, CC1, CC2, & CC3
Qing Fibre Melted Suri for CC4

Yardage
MC - 1 skein of wool (399yds / 365m)
CC1 - 1 skein of wool (399yds / 365m)
CC2 - 1 skein of wool (399yds / 365m)
CC3 - 1 skein of wool (399yds / 365m)
CC4 - 2 skeins of Melted Suri (382yds / 350m total; 100g total) Melted Suri comes in 50g skeins so 2 skeins will be enough for the recommended 382yds / 350m for CC4.

You will have leftovers of the colors, but I recommend starting with the recommended yardage so you don’t run out of yarn.

If you decide to use an accent color of wool instead of Melted Suri for CC4, you will only need 1 skein of fingering weight wool (100g) for CC4.

Needles
40” / 100cm US 5 / 3.75mm circular

Notions
2 stitch markers, tapestry needle

Gauge
20 sts & 44 rows = 4” / 10cm in garter stitch (un-blocked).

It is okay if there is some gauge variation. If you like smaller shawls, aim for a gauge closer to 22-24 sts = 4” / 10cm in garter stitch.

Errata
Clue 1 - Row 21 of the Brioche version: The stitch count should be 37 sts, not 45.

Row 11 of the border should read “to last 5 sts” instead of “to last 6 sts”.

These corrections are reflected in the most recent PDF “texture_time_en-4.pdf”.
