Thanksgiving in Union Square Scarf
San Francisco’s Union Square seems to come alive in a special way during the holidays. Department stores are all a bustle, the big Christmas tree takes center stage, and for once the cold foggy chill that hangs in the air all year-long seems to finally fit the season. What could be a better accessory while sight-seeing than a new classic scarf! Whether for yourself or as a gift to someone else, this scarf is quick and easy to make, but becomes a definitively sharp accessory to any outfit.
This scarf is a simple, classic pattern, and knits up quickly. You will no doubt find yourself off pattern in no time at all.
Although a gauge is provided, it’s not terribly important to achieve. The pattern also calls for worsted weight on #8 / 5.0mm needles, but other weights and needle combinations would work nicely. Finished length is suggested to be 63 inches (160 cm) but can be adjusted based on your preferences.
