INTRODUCTION
The thatch cowl is a super simple 2 color project that uses slip stitches to create beautiful colorwork. You only work with 1 color per row, so there is no stranded colorwork making this cowl a breeze to knit. It is worked bottom up in the round as one seamless piece.

MATERIALS
YARN - DK (Light #3)

  • CA: 160 yds {146 m}
  • CB: 95 yds {87 m}

Sample uses: Yarn Bee Must Be Merino (50% Merino Wool / 25% Acrylic / 25% Nylon, 227 yds {208 m}/100g) in the colorways Olive (CA) and White (CB).
Note: The sample yarn felt a little thinner than an average DK yarn.

NEEDLES
* Gauge Needles: US 4 {3.5 mm} circular
needles 16″ {40 cm} or 24” {60 cm}.
Or size needed to match gauge.
* Rib Needles 1-2 sizes smaller than
gauge needles in the same cord
