“The Brae”

This is a textured knit shawl using three skeins of aran weight yarn to create a piece that can be worn in a variety of ways.

Its suitable for a beginner with some experience and makes a relaxing “television” project for those that like a shawl that knits up quickly.

The name Brae comes from the Scottish word for a steep bank or hillside.

I have designed this piece as part of an Outlander Knit Along with Honey Girl Farms.

It has been inspired by my love of Outlander, the Scottish Highlands and historical clothing and textiles.
