The SHRUG 01 Knitting Pattern is an advanced beginner pattern for knitting a versatile ribbed shrug that can be worn around the shoulders or styled as an oversized cowl.

Worked entirely in 1×1 ribbing, SHRUG 01 creates a soft, highly stretchy fabric with a simple, modern silhouette. The seamless tube construction allows the piece to stretch comfortably around the shoulders while remaining relaxed and cozy when worn around the neck.

The downloadable PDF includes clear written instructions, sizing and finished measurements, yarn requirements, gauge information, and technique guidance to help you complete your project.

ABOUT THE PATTERN

SHRUG 01 is worked seamlessly in the round using 1×1 rib stitch throughout.

The simple tube construction requires no shaping, increases, decreases, seaming, cables, lace, or colourwork. The naturally stretchy ribbed fabric allows the finished piece to be worn two ways — stretched over the shoulders as a shrug or gathered around the neck as an oversized cowl.
