About this pattern
This fun and beginner-friendly pattern comes in eight different sizes (Newborn, 0-3mo, 3-6mo, 6-12mo, Toddler, Child, Woman, Man) so you will be able to make one for each member of your family, just in time for the holidays!
It uses a light bulky yarn and knits up pretty quickly.

This beanie is worked from the bottom up in Stockinette stitches (all knits), plus easy k2tog for the decrease. A video tutorial for knitting the double brim is linked in the document.

The pattern includes both US and metric terms.

I’m very excited to share this Christmas hat with you and would love to see your work, so please use the hashtag #claushat when sharing on social media and tag me @wolleyhandmade.

I’m always available if you have any questions! Merry Christmas to all of you and happy knitting!

Stay cozy,
-Elisa

Gauge
18 sts x 24 rows = 4” (10cm) in Stockinette in the round, before blocking.

Materials
Approximately one skein (100g) of light bulky (5) yarn for the main color and half skein of the contrasting color are enough to make the bigger sizes.
Suggested: WAK The Petite Wool

I used US 9 (5.5mm) circular needles with a 16” (40cm) cord and longer longer cord to use magic loop for the decrease (DPNs will also work). You might need to adapt the size of the needles to meet gauge.

You will also need: a pompom or pompom maker, scissors, stitch markers (6, 1 of them in a contrasting color), tapestry needle.
