Crocheters love beautiful, indie-dyed yarns too, right? This shawl pattern was birthed out of jealousy of all the pretty knit shawls, with elaborate colors and textures, that I just wasn’t finding in the crochet world. A desire to work the star stitch in an asymmetrical way and obsession with yellow yarn led to the design that is now the Dandelion Dance Shawl. So grab the prettiest yarns you can find and come frolic through colorful fields of springtime flowers with me!

This asymmetrical shawl is worked in 6 unique sections with a border added on the final edge. While I have laid out how I worked the shawl in the form of a pattern, feel free to think of it as more of a formula for creating your own one-of-a-kind shawl. Have fun playing with colors! This shawl is a great way to showcase some beautiful indie-dyed yarn, or a perfect stash buster to combine the gorgeous yarns you’ve been hoarding up for a special project!

The final measurements are “guidelines,” as there may be some variation in gauges between the different stitches used throughout the sections, but as this is not a fitted garment, in the end you will definitely end up with a beautiful, wearable, shawl-sized item!
