Knit side to side and then picked-up stitches to work the simple diamond lace pattern, this asymmetrical shawlette is a fun knit and VERY doable by any knitter (with a bit of experience).

The body of the shawl alternates garter-stitch stripes while increasing on the bottom edge and then decreasing for the opposite end. This creates an asymmetrical triangle with a long, slender end and a wider oppposite.

The lace edge is an easy garter-stitch based motif with yo’s and ssk/k2tog to create a sweet diamond edge. The Diamond Edging is charted and written out line by line.

The shawlette can be worn multiple ways … adding to the overall fun of the design.

The design needs approx 250 yards MC; 150 yards CC (I used just shy of a full skein of Spring Gate’s Cashmere/Bamboo blend for the CC).

Enjoy!
