I’ve called this blanket Fairy Slippers because the colours remind me of the Calypso Flower which are also known as fairy slippers. They are from the orchid family and are found in America’s northern forests, high up in the mountains.

Any DK yarn and a 4mm hook.

If you’re making a baby blanket you will want approx 200g - 500g, just keep going till you run out of yarn, or save a bit for the border.

I’ve not written up a border for this as I’m not sure what border I will do yet. The format is UK crochet, not US, (please refer to a UK stitch guide, and not YouTube, if unsure of stitches!)

EDIT Border done, and pattern amended and uploaded!
You will need less than 100g for the border. 200g will be enough to do 30 rows of blanket, and blanket with border will measure around 30”/76cm square.

second PDF added for a rectangular blanket in the same filet pattern.
