The Flowing Forest is a triangular half-hap, with additional increases to give an added fullness to the shape. It is knit top down with a garter edge. It can be made up in one colour of following the suggested colour scheme for a joyous spring look.

The Flowing Forest shawl was conceived & first knit in the mountains of northern Portugal. A landscape shaped by the layered peaks of hills within which are hidden multitudes of rivers & cascatas, waterfalls. The shape of the shawl echoes this composition of rigid rock & flowing river whilst the natural-dyed colour palette, for me, speaks of the humility of the landscape and the people who live there.
