The Herringbone Bonnet
The Herringbone Bonnet is a fun knit with so much texture. You will be stylish and cozy warm from Fall to Spring. This bonnet/split brim style hat, is my most popular adult style hat at markets. Once people try them on, they can’t take them off. It’s like a warm hug for your head. My customers love that your ears are fully covered and the bonnet hugs the back of your head without riding up.
Written for adult size. Advanced beginner skill level. I have included multiple videos to walk you through the herringbone stitches on the brim (which is knit flat), and joining in the round to start the body of the bonnet. If this is your first time knitting herringbone, you will be surprised at how quickly you get the hang of it.
** Remember to knit LOOSELY !!
