Double brim beanies are my go-to for mindless knitting. They’re what I knit when I’m in between more complicated designs, or when I don’t have the brain capacity to look at a pattern. With the perfect combination of knitting endless rounds of stockinette and special techniques to indulge in, they’re an awesome knit for when you just need to unwind.

Every year since 2014, I have been knitting items to donate to local shelters and outreach groups, including these beanies. Although the pattern is only $1, 100% of the profits from these sales will go towards funding my donation efforts. Thanks for your support!

This pattern includes instructions on knitting a standard sized chunky beanie, with tips on modifying the pattern for other sizes and yarn weights.

Sample:
Yarn: 1 skein of Bernat Premium (aran weight held double)
18.5” / 47 cm circumference unstretched
8.5” / 21.5 cm length
