Whip up an almost indestructible washcloth that can power through any mess. This washcloth is worked with a strand of worsted cotton and a strand of scrubby cotton held together and crocheted in a dense slip stitch pattern, creating a thick, strong washcloth. Work the stitches loosely.

You can use any brand of medium worsted weight cotton and any brand of scrubby yarn. You’ll need about 75 yards of worsted weight cotton, and 60 yards of scrubby cotton.

Gauge Stitch Pattern: ch 14. Row 1: sl st in second chain from hook and in each across, ch 1, turn. Row 2: sl st in each st across, ch 1 turn. Repeat row 2 until swatch is 4 inches long, about 27 rows.

The pattern creates a 7”x7” or 18x18cm washcloth, but you can create a washcloth of any size. Please keep in mind: if you change the size, you’ll need to adjust the amount of yarn used.
