This hat was designed holding TWO strands of worsted or dk yarn HELD TOGETHER, but will also work with a bulky yarn.

2 strands of worsted or dk held together = 1 strand of bulky yarn.

Works up best in a painted yarn (in my opinion) , but also beautiful in a solid.

Will fit an average adult sized head 20-21 inches… hats shown are modeled by a 13 yo kid who is 5’7 with an adult sized-head. (my girl… sniff)

Hat is knit holding 2 strands of worsted yarn together to make knitting faster and to make the color combos even more spectacular. Simply knit from both ends of the wound skein.

Different fibers (of different weights) will give you a variety of ‘slouch’.

Remember to use a smaller needle size to knit the ribbed band of your hat. I recommend an 8 but if it is turning out too large on an 8 switch to a 7. The rest of the hat is then knit on a 10 1/2 needle.

Materials: ~
~ 1 skein of worsted weight yarn, approx. 210+ yards (knit from both ends of the wound skein) Will also work with a DK or light worsted weight yarn.
