Hi everyone! I have a fun new hat pattern to share with you today! This one is super fun and a great way to practice those knits and purl stitches!

I’m calling it the Peekaboo Beanie because I used a contrast color in the ribbing and it peeks out behind the main hat color in such a fun way!

I used a Frey Harbor from Blue Sky Fibers and it was just the right one to give this hat a nice soft subtle look. For the contrast color I used Colorful Eclectic yarn in Celebrate. It was a fingering weight yarn, so I held it double and it worked great!

I also added this fun faux fur pom pom that I got from my local yarn shop for added pizzazz! It’s from McPorter Farms and is a lovely pink with black tips.

Supplies:

4mm/US6 16” circular needle
5mm/US8 16” circular needle
Tapestry/yarn needle (for weaving in ends)
5mm/ US8 DPNs for finishing
Optional: Faux Fur Pom

Yarn:

MC: 1 skein DK weight yarn (100g)
CC: 1 skein DK weight yarn (100g) (I used Yarn Ink Celebrate)

Sizing: Medium fits child/teen approx. 20-21 inches in circumference, Large fits adult approx. 22-24 inches in circumference.
