A traditional Fair Isle Tam and Mittens set.

While it is certainly true that there are beautiful and inspiring landscapes in Europe, I thought that I would celebrate the wild and colourful vistas of Northern Ontario. To that end, the painters known as ‘The Group of Seven’ put these areas on the map with their renderings of this country and all it’s seasons. Tom Thomson was the innovator, and spent many years in Algonquin Park, canoeing and camping as well as sketching. In the winter he would return to The Studio Building in Toronto’s Rosedale Valley. He has a cabin in the back, and ‘The West Wind’ was his last full size painting. I have used his colours in these designs. More exciting, the photo shoot took place in the historic Studio Building, now a private residence.“*
