This shawl was designed for a single skein fingering weight yarn. The Naturally dyed singles from WildWestDye in Merino/ cashmere/ silk is ideal for a cosy shawl.

The pattern contains written instructions and a ‘tick’ chart so you can track your progress row by row.

Once you have finished the written instructions for the increasing part, you will proceed to the pattern repeat. The increases continue every third row.
On the first repeat you will increase on row 3, and then every 3rd row after that. The tick chart contains a circle for every increase row.

Although the edging looks complicated, it is essentially a 1x1 twisted rib, with a k2tog and yo which creates the waves.

A fake icord edge is applied and allows the natural curl of the stocking stitch edge, frame the edge of the shawl.

You will need to know, or learn the following techniques:
• Knit through back of loop & purl through back of loop
• Knit two together
• Yarn over
• Purl in front and back
• (Purl & knit) in one stitch
