A classic motorcycle jacket looks good on everyone and
improves any outfit. But who says it needs to be leather?

The Wild One has all the right details: asymmetrical fronts, a high
collar, and some serious hardware. The warm and windproof
fabric means that it’s functional, too.

Style it traditionally with jeans and a white tee, or to use it add a
little bit of rock ‘n roll to a dress. You’ll wear it every day (motorcycle optional).

Sized for Women’s to XS to 3X, the slightly cropped length, set-in
sleeves, and waist shaping fit and flatter all figures and sizes.

Garment is worked flat and seamed, using a set-in sleeve construction. There’s waist shaping and a slightly shorter length to mimic the classic jacket.

The body of the jacket is worked in classic Lopi, but at a tighter gauge than usual. This creates a better jacket fabric: denser and more windproof, and with substance and weight to hold its shape. I’ve used a softer yarn for deep hem, collar and zipper facings, to add some extra warmth and comfort: not everyone likes Lopi next to their skin.

The Left front is worked in two pieces, to ease the placement of the zipper.

Skills Required
Pattern suitable for knitters with garment experience. There’s two sections with AT THE SAME TIMEs, and short rows. I have provided detailed instructions on sewing in the zippers, no previous experience required with those.
