This is a beginner-friendly pattern for an oversized sweater with elephant sleeves and a light, feather-like fall. It uses thin yarn knitted with 12mm needles, so it’s a quick project with lots of spaces within stitches for your body to breathe during summer.

There are three sizing options. Since the sweater has an oversized fit (positive ease yay!), I made the three sizes encompass multiple sizes. Some sizes overlap, so it’s a matter of preference: if you want to knit a size M that has a tighter fit, for example, then go for Size 1. All sizes were tested by 2 test knitters each!

Sizes are specified as “Size 1 (size 2, size 3)”

SIZING
Size 1: XS-M

Size 2: M-XL

Size 2: XL-2XL

1 pair of 12mm needles
Darning needle

Yarn:
YarnArt’s ‘Allegro’. You will need two colors: the main one (white in the sample photos) and the secondary one (pink).

150g (200g, 200g) main color
100g (100g, 100g) secondary color

13% wool, 41% polyamide, 46% acrylic

You may use any yarn that gives you the right tension. Some knitters have used regular dk yarn as a substitute; however, it doesn’t give the sweater its featherlike fall. (The white and orange-striped sweater shows you an example).
