Thistle and Shamrock is a beanie style hat worked from the bottom-up in the round. Stranded colorwork patterning begins on the second round of the hat and extends through to the last round of crown decreases. Colorwork instructions are presented in chart form only.

This hat was inspired by, and named for, one of National Public Radio’s longest running and most popular shows: The Thistle and Shamrock. The Thistle and Shamrock is created in the Scottish Highlands and features established and emerging Celtic musicians. For more information on the show you can visit ThistleRadio.com.
