Thistleburr is a comfy, cozy, textured hat perfect for daily wear and people of all genders…not to mention gifting! You can make the Thistleburr hat and the matching Thistleburr Mitts from a single skein of DK yarn, which also makes it perfect for that gorgeous skein you bought with no particular project in mind, but just couldn’t leave behind.

Thistleburr is cast on at the brim and worked seamlessly to the crown, which is has an X shaped decrease. The texture is created through a slipped stitch pattern.

(Thistleburr is the name of the bookshop in Travis Baldree’s Bookshops and Bonedust. If you’ve been here for a while you know that there’s little I love more than knitting and a good bookshop!)
